Job Description:
We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Duty Medical Officers to join our healthcare team. As a Duty Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing medical care and treatment to patients in various clinical settings, including hospitals, clinics, and emergency departments. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care, assess and diagnose medical conditions, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans. Additionally, Duty Medical Officers will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support clinical operations. The ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering compassionate healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
Provide medical care and treatment to patients presenting with various medical conditions.
Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
Diagnose illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions accurately and develop individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe medications, treatments, and interventions based on clinical findings and evidence-based practice guidelines.
Monitor patient progress, response to treatment, and vital signs, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information, education, and support regarding their medical conditions and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Adhere to established clinical protocols, standards of practice, and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
Medical degree from a recognized medical school and completion of internship or residency training program.
Valid medical license and registration with the appropriate medical regulatory body.
Prior experience working as a medical officer, resident medical officer, or similar role in a clinical setting.
Proficiency in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common medical conditions and emergencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Strong problem-solving abilities and sound clinical judgment to make timely and appropriate decisions.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Commitment to providing patient-centered care with compassion, empathy, and respect for diversity.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required to ensure 24/7 coverage of medical services.
